Northern border strip states
Article 2(III) defines the northern border strip between the international boundary and a parallel line 20 kilometres inland, in the stretch from the boundary of the partial Sonora region to the Gulf of Mexico. Article 5 requires residence and permanence in the applicable zone; it does not cover the entire territory of these states. [1]
